Who is Jonpris Foundation Trust?

Jonpris Foundation Trust (JPF) is a development organization, launched in Zimbabwe by a number of Trustees in 2010 and was officially registered in July of the same year. The Trust, which was founded by Prisca Nyamupachitu, is also registered with the NGO association of Zimbabwe.

JPF’s founding principles are strongly embedded in Christian beliefs, particularly James Chapter 2 vs 14 – 17: “My brothers and sisters, what good does it do if someone claims faith but doesn’t do any good things. Can this kind of faith save him? Suppose a believer, whether a man or a woman needs clothes or food and one of you tells that person, ‘God be with you! Stay warm, make sure you eat enough.’ If you don’t provide for that person’s physical needs, what good does it do? In the same way, faith by itself is dead if it doesn’t cause you to do any good things”. Simply put, it does not help to feel pity for the downtrodden but not do anything to uplift them from their predicament.
