At the Grassroots, JPF also supports the local initiatives that help to keep the youths engaged and therefore away from disruptive behaviours. In that regard, JPF sponsors Culture events and sporting activities like National Culture days in Schools, and in the communities. In 2013, Jonpris Foundation Trust sponsored a Floating Trophy for the best Culture event at the Harare Cultural Gala. The Trophy is still floating in schools in Harare. The latest sponsorship is for the WASU Soccer and Netball Leagues in Nyaduve communities in Rusape, involving the unemployed youths and women in the community. Apart from keeping them fit, the programmes also improves their health and well being. So this is an ongoing programme
